Adobe Creative Cloud Software

An experienced technology professional, Delbert “Del” Yocam oversees multi-disciplinary investment operations in his role as founder and managing partner at Yocam Holdings, LLC. Throughout his career, Delbert Yocam has served on the board of directors for a number of technology firms, including Adobe Systems, Inc.

In June 2015, Adobe System unveiled Adobe Creative Cloud, a new software service program for both Windows and OS X operations systems. With the program, Adobe updated more than 20 of its desktop applications for higher efficiency and maintained many elements from Adobe Creative Suite. The company introduced several new features to its users, including access to 20GB of cloud storage, instant upgrade capabilities, and mobile access to projects.

Through Creative Cloud, users can utilize the CreativeSync feature to update and manage their work at any time and on any device. Work initiated on a smartphone can be completed in the desktop applications, with all settings, fonts, and files saved via cloud storage. In addition, the new Adobe Stock feature provides access to more than 40 million stock photos each month.

Creative Cloud is available at several different price points. The most popular package costs $50 per month and provides access to all desktop and mobile applications, cloud storage, premium fonts, and a personal website. Adobe offers photography and standard packages to students and teachers at 40 percent of the normal cost.

Advantages of Cloud Computing

Delbert Yocam, an independent technology consultant, has more than 35 years of experience with major corporations such as Apple and Tektronix. Over the course of his career Delbert Yocam has become skilled in areas as diverse as mainframe computing and cloud services.

The benefits of cloud computing and cloud services are many. One of the most obvious and well known advantages of using cloud services is the overall economy. Relatively small organizations can achieve higher production rates with fewer employees using cloud services, while cost per unit, project, and product all decrease dramatically. Cloud computing services reduce costs in other ways, as well, such as savings on money that would otherwise be spent on technology infrastructure. Rather than constantly purchasing new software and installing any necessary hardware, cloud customers can pay a small up-front fee and adjust their spending as needed, sometimes on a week-to-week basis.

Of course, the popularity of the cloud can also be attributed to reasons of efficiency. Individuals may access files and programs stored on the cloud at any time from any location. This widespread accessibility further enhances the amount of work that can be accomplished by a single person or small team, as individuals do not need to be at the office to access a project. The lack of software and hardware involved with cloud services also cuts back on hours that must be allotted for personnel training time, saving money and enhancing project efficiency.
